The Burch and McNutt Families

My 4th great-grandparents on my mother's side were Charles McNutt and Elizabeth Burch.  Please view the Elwell/Ball family tree on Rootsweb.com (click here) to see how the McNutt and Burch families relate to the Elwells.  Charles (1784-1871) emigrated from Donegal Ireland with his parents John and Sarah McNutt.  He married Elizabeth Burch (1794-1867) in Crosby, Hamilton County, Ohio on August 9, 1810.  Coincidentally his sister Sarah McNutt married Elizabeth Burch's brother Charles on the same day at the same place, apparently a joint ceremony.  Charles and Elizabeth (Burch) McNutt lived their adult lives in Franklin County, Indiana and are buried there in Big Cedar Cemetery .

The parentage of Elizabeth Burch, my 4th great-grandmother, has been a point of controversy for some time.  My conclusions on this are presented here.
